Barbara Noparstak
Barbara was involved in many different aspects in the computer software business over 20 years writing compilers, developing language standards, editing documentation, marketing and training. Her Smalltalk experience began in 1983 when she co-founded Digitalk, which grew into a 100-person company. Twelve years later, it merged with ParcPlace Systems. In 1995, she co-founded Smallware Systems to help Smalltalk third-party developers polish and market their software products.

In 1996, Barbara created Api Consulting, a vehicle for various projects, including records and information management, editing, database development, political campaigns and event and conference organizing. In addition to her consulting business, she is an active community volunteer and gardener. Her extensive experience with community organizations includes helping to start a Chamber of Commerce and two non-profits. She currently serves as President of the Board of the Midpeninsula Community Media Center. Barbara has a BS in Computer Science from Purdue University and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
